A Young Man's Walk: Part 1
The morning sun’s warmth hugged the trappings and cover of the mattress. I could feel it emanate from its white-hot surface. I bathed in the sun’s light and felt the hairs on my skin prickle, the adrenaline rushed forth. Reinvigorated, I continued to toil around the house organizing my binders, papers, and pencils. Near my pillow, was a two-piece suit and dress pants, which I laid out earlier. The smell of detergent, the pungent and lilac scent, relaxed my ever-wary nerves. For the days of summer were long gone, and I could only feel the pseudo-summer heat which November provided. Scrunched up and beaten leaves littered my dri

Jet Lag -ONESHOT-- Funny Bones-
"But how will we handle the different time zones and being jet lagged all the time from all the flights?"
"We'll make it work, Clementina," Crispin declared dramatically. "We'll make it work!"
"Oh, Walter..."
Crispin had a habit of inventing the most ridiculous names during skits, particularly girl's names. So Cobie always tried to battle it with the worst, typical old man names she could think of. Sometimes the names alone deserved their own skits. Between the two of them, they'd certainly created a number of... memorable characters, to say the least.
Maybe that was why they were so often paired together during the shows.
“Why are you crying?” The boy leaned down to see her face and watched her quietly, his tanned features pursed in concentration.
It unnerved Michelle so much so that she blurted, “Because all this time I was a fucking beard!”
He frowned as she slammed a hand over her mouth in shock, “My mommy says not to use that word.”
It was around noon and Michelle was seated in front of what she thought was an atrocious painting of a 17th century woman.
A empty swing to carry me above the problems,
safety gate to keep away the ghosts in my head.
Higher and higher, a birds journey.
A place to preserve the freedom,
dreams to cling on to on the monkey bars.
The children's happiness lingers here,
clearing my thoughts for now.
I want this taste of lightness to
extend on infinitely.
The dog and his balloon, love at first sight.
Well, for the dog, anyways.
The smell of stretched rubber tingled his nose
The sound of it hitting the wall tingled his ears
The lovely shape and colour tingled his eyes.
He bounced the balloon on his nose
watching it hit the walls and bounce back again
He nudged the balloon gently,
rather alarmed when he saw it fly into the air
only to return to the ground again.
Gently.
Light as a feather.
He held it by its rubbery knob
He put the balloon on the ground
lay beside it and held it with his paws
caressing it with care.
The balloon suddenly left again
Flying across the room.
The dog jumped up i
Do you ever wonder
Why fish don`t blink?
Why little girls
Always love pink?
Why the Moon won`t come out
And play with the Sun?
Why the stars won`t come down
And meet everyone?
But there`s this one thing
That I can never understand...
Why does dad`s cooking
Have to be so bland!?
I haven`t been this bored
In a considerable amount of years!
I`m sitting at my computer
Nearly in tears!
S`pose you could say
I have a writers block.
This isn`t even funny,
So I`d prefer if you didn`t mock.
I wouldn`t wish this feeling
Upon any me or anyone,
So maybe I`ll just go watch T.V...
Wait! What have I just done?!

How to Make a Cup of Tea
I`m about to teach you
How to make a cup of tea,
I think you`ll find
That it is quite easy.
First you go to the cupboard
And take out you`r favorite cup,
Then you fill the kettle with water
And boil it till the steam rises up.
Then into the cup
The teabag goes
Pour in the water and stir to you`r liking
I suppose.
If you want milk or sugar
Then that`s fine too,
Just make sure to take out the teabag
Won`t you?
Now go reach into the cookie jar
And get yourself a treat,
So that you dunk it into you`r tea
While resting you`r feet!
